Posted on Leave a commentPosted in episodes

We are joined today by the absolutely wonderful and talented comedian, writer, and Director, Felicia Michaels, to talk about a condition that has plagued her family. We talk about her mother’s diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease in the 1970’s and how this greatly impacted her life from a young age. Felicia also shares her own personal journey with Crohn’s disease and the bizarre and terrifying pain that resulted in a surprising diagnosis. We get raw and real and we also laugh and smile and Felicia inspires us with her strength and tenacity. We also talk about our country’s healthcare and social welfare programs that were a great asset to Felicia’s life, especially in the midst of daunting and overwhelming responsibility as she found herself taking care of her mother as a child. We talk about the progress made in treating and understanding Crohn’s Disease and acknowledge that there is still a long way to go. We leave with some final words of wisdom and urge you to check out Felicia’s podcast with Jessica Wellington, The Liars Club. And keep an eye out for her films: My Hole Story, and Pervs. (links below)
