Lara Beitz shares her experiences with Mental health and addiction. We talk manic episodes, stigmas, misconceptions and the importance of sharing our stories to help others. We also talk about the importance of being open and honest with your doctor and how cool it would’ve been to have someone with bipolar disorder to look up to at a younger age. In the second half of the episode, Lara shares her experience being roofied at a comedy show. It was a surprising and perplexing event that had many levels of impact. My favorite line from the podcast is probably “Let me be clear. I have a rad life.” Lara shares how far she has come and we agree, that she is a role model. Also in this episode, Andy and Joleen share their current workout routines.

“I want to be clear. I have a rad life.”
“Yes I sent a letter to his mom. Jan should know how I feel.”
