Posted on Posted in episodes

Comedian, writer, and artist Sarah Dorfman joins us to talk about the surprising connection between eating disorders and ADHD, and her interesting diagnosis journey. She shares how therapy and psychoanalysis has helped, and she gives advice on who to confide in if you think you may have issues with food. We talk about how comedy helps us cope and sometimes we need more time before we are ready to tell vulnerable jokes. We close out the show with an article about facial exercises and some inspiration, tips and awesome advice.

THE CHECK-IN: Andy talks about what it was like when Alex kissed a girl on set for the first time, and we discuss what it’s like to be married to performers. Joleen and Alex share about their sweaty palms and a possible cure.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS:

“Fuck you flower lady!”

“My therapist told me I wasn’t interesting enough.”

“What’s hard about bulimia is that you can’t just stop eating food.”

“I’m like a mom. I pack a lot of snacks!”

“Seak out people who have high levels of empathy and are good listeners.”

“My grandma’s advice was: Don’t throw up, get bangs!”
